Kolkata, October 15, 2009: The ‘NIS Qusiz’ finals, the biggest quizzing extravaganzas of the year was conducted today in the city by NIS Academy, an educational initiative of NIS Sparta Ltd., Asia's leading Training, Education and Learning solutions provider.

The quiz festival witnessed participation from Top 20 schools of the city which included La Martiniere School for girls, Carmel High School, Calcutta International School, Cambridge International School and many more having an enriching experience for the budding talents of Kolkata. The prelims covered more than 5000 students who were exposed to a wide variety of quizzing. Cambridge International School, Lorretto Convent, La Martinere for Girls, Heerendra Leela Patranavis School, Carmel High School, Queens of Mission, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan and M ahadevi Birla High School teams were selected to fight the finals. __________ School emerged as the ultimate champion in the test of intelligence and knowledge and won _______________. __________ school was adjudged the runner up.

Dr. Amitava Sarkar, Director, School of Management, West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT) was the chief guest for the occasion. “NIS Quiz is one of the best platforms for the budding talent to take one step forward in becoming the future leaders of the country. NIS Academy has shown immense acumen in searching the best talent of the city and guiding them to the right path. I wish NIS Academy all the success for their future endeavor and hope that they keep on this brilliant work of nurturing talent and give them the best platform to succeed”, he said at the occasion.

Sayantan Bal, who is known for his quizzing talent in the city and was also awarded the NIS CAT award, was the quiz master for the event. The event was graced by Mr. Suman Dev Chattopadhyay, MLA, West Bengal Assembly. The prizes were given away by Mr. Salil Chaturvedi, Assistant General Manager, NIS Sparta Ltd.
