Bengaluru, 1st August 2008: The NIS Academy, a division of NIS Sparta (a Reliance ADA Group company), today, launched its 1st centre in South India at Mekhri Circle, Bengaluru. The launch marks a stepping stone in The NIS Academy’s aggressive expansion plans for the southern region. The NIS Academy centre was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Shri Ashok Kumar Manoli IAS, Principal Secretary to Govt of Karnataka, Dept of IT/Bio Tech. in the presence of Guest of Honour: Shri G. Kumar Naik IAS, Commissioner of Public Instruction, Education Department, Govt of Karnataka, Mrs. Sharda Subramanian IA&AS, Spl Secretary to Governor, Governor of Karnataka and Mr. Muralidhar Rao, COO & President, NIS Sparta.

Coinciding with the launch The NIS Academy also announced plans to launch 2 more centres in Bengaluru within the next few weeks, and its foray into other key cities in South. The NIS Academy’s expansion into the Southern markets is being spurred by the burgeoning demand for jobs in verticals such as FMCG, Retail, Finance, Banking, Insurance and Auto, among others. Along with enhancing the students’ academic base, The NIS Academy carries out employability-linked programmes, to fulfill requirements of skilled manpower in these sectors.

Highlighting the The NIS Academy’s plans for the region, Mr. Muralidhar Rao, COO & President NIS Sparta said, “Launch of the centres in Bengaluru, starting with the 1st one at Mekhri Circle, is our latest initiative in bringing the candidates and the corporate sector together, in the region. Students graduating from our academy will be well equipped and ready for the corporate world. Looking at the market potential, we plan to aggressively grow our business in the Southern region. To start with, besides Bengaluru, we have plans to expand into cities such as Chennai, Hyderabad, Cochin, Coimbatore. Trivandrum, Mysore among others.”

The NIS Academy endeavors to provide 100% placement assistance to its students and has already trained over 55,000 people, who are working at senior positions with industry leaders in key sectors. The new batches are planned to start in the last week of August
