| “Spartan’s on Field” - A practical selling experience for Students of The NIS Academy- Sakinaka, Mumbai

As an endeavor to provide practical learning experience to the students of The NIS Academy, Sakinaka-Mumbai, the students were given an opportunity to promote and sell MOS Courseware at various Reliance Infrastructure Offices.
As an endeavor to provide practical learning experience to the students of The NIS Academy, Sakinaka-Mumbai, the students were given an opportunity to promote and sell MOS Courseware at various Reliance Infrastructure Offices.
The activity was kick started with the detail briefing by Mr. Ashwin Gawande about Microsoft Office 2003 version, courseware CD, which could be very helpful for Skill set building of Microsoft and a chance to get certification from Microsoft, and that too with 30% discount with the product. A detailed briefing was given about how to use BSEA technique, with the classroom role play feed back by the Faculty members Rita Balachandan and Priya Rathore.
During this whole exercise the MBA and BBA 2nd year students got exposure to real world sales environment and an opportunity to test their skills. The team managed to sell 50 course wares on first two days itself, through Canopy activity.

| NIS Academy Students participated in AIM QUEST-09

NIS Academy Students participated in AIM QUEST-09, a state level management meet organised by Assam Institute of management on 24th of February,09. students from different Business Schools and Business Administration Departments of Gauhati University, Dibrugarh University, NERIST (Arunachal Pradesh) participated in different events during the meet.
NIS Academy showcased their acumen and made a mark at this meet by winning the following prizes:
- Bhaskar Jyoti Gogoi & Tridib Buragohain (MBA, 2nd yr) – 1st prize in “Who is the Boss? – Business Plan.”
- Aditi Gautam & Palalbi Duarah (BBA, 2nd yr) – 3rd prize in Ad-designing.
- Shrunita Mohan (MBA, 1st yr) -- 3rd prize in Paper presentation.

| Global thought leaders sharing perspectives with NIS Academy’s students |
NIS Academy students participated in NIS Sparta’s second Knowledge Series session with Prof. Parasuraman in mumbai. Prof. Parasuraman is one of the top 50 marketing gurus in the world (UK's Chartered Institute of Marketing), and has achieved excellence in the area of services marketing and technology; and service excellence with his intensive research and hands-on experience with companies he advised across the world.

The global thought leader shared his insights and perspectives on how companies can gain an edge by weaving service quality in their cultural fabric. He also shed light on how companies can gain marketing excellence through superior service and productivity.
NIS Sparta’s Knowledge Series was kicked off in November 2008 with an aim to add intrinsic value to the Reliance ADA Group companies. The first session of the series started with the very first guest – Thomas A. Stewart. The forum saw attendance of over 200 of the top management from the Reliance ADA group companies and students of NIS Academy.
Thomas shared his thought provoking perspectives with the students. It was a great learning experience for the students who walked out thrilled and enthused.
